Lauren Jawno is is a Professional Speaker, Published Author, Registered Holistic Nutritionist, Certified Personal Trainer (ACE) and Wellness Coach specializing in Lifestyle and Behavior Change, Weight Management and Sports Nutrition.

With nearly 15 years of professional experience, Jawno's thriving practice provides a 'whole life' approach to wellness - based on relevant, cutting-edge research and information.  She brings a unique perspective to her clients as a result of her training and work in indentity/personality mapping with an international company and leader in this area.  As a result, Lauren is able to truly understand what drives her client's habits and responses and is able to create customized results-orientated programs that not only match her client's goals and personalities, but ensure the best possible compliance and results, while educating and empowering them to reach their true potential.

Her clients have included nationally-ranked swimmers and runners, world-ranked dancers, hockey and soccer players, and athletes of all stripes, professional corporations (Shell, AB Sciex, Ceridian, Royal Bank of Canada and Mercedes-Benz (amongst others), doctors, lawyers, business executives as well as stay-at-home moms.

Over the past 5 years, Jawno has been a highly sought after speaker for hundreds of public and private events across Canada, and is a frequent guest on both television and radio as an expert on the subjects of fitness, nutrition and lifestyle.  She is well known for her interactive presentation style and ability to make complex information practical and easy to understand by combining her solid academic background and training with real-life experiences.

Jawno is a regular columnist for iRun Magazine and has also written for and been featured in numerous national publications such as Parents Canada and Today's Bride. She was also featured in 'Get Real', a book profiling an exclusive group of successful Canadian women. She is a member of the respected Health Sciences faculty at Centennial College and is also professionally affiliated with a select group of leading sports and health and wellness facilities in Toronto.

She is the creator and author of Change4Good: The 10 Essentials for Food, Fitness and the Good Life. This weight management and wellness program, and now published book, focuses on changing habits around attitude, behaviour, nutrition and fitness in order to achieve optimal health.

Jawno is a member of the Board and actively involved in the newly formed non-profit organization, NIED (National Initiative for Eating Disorders), whose mission is to raise awareness and promote education about this medical condition, a topic very familiar to Lauren. She will be speaking regularly at the NIED symposiums which are held on a monthly basis in Toronto and surrounding areas.

Lauren has a Bachelors Degree in Education, a Diploma in Holistic Nutrition, and a Diploma in Fitness and Lifestyle Management; she has also completed a multitude of continuing education courses to keep her current with the latest methodologies and tools in the industry.  She has completed a certification in the area of Stress Management from the Institute of Lifestyle Management at Harvard Medical School.  Lauren has also completed a post-graduate certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from McMaster University.
