Lauren Jawno is is a registered nutritionist, certified personal trainer, dynamic speaker and published author. Lauren is also a qualified teacher and wellness/lifestyle coach. Her passion for people's total health is combined with her extraordinary gifts for teaching and public speaking. She has an inherent ability to motivate and empower others in overcoming their life's biggest challenges. In fact her mission in life is to inspire and equip others to realize their true potential.

With more than 15 years of professional experience, Jawno has built a stellar reputation as an inspiring and passionate speaker in the areas of fitness, nutrition, wellness and emotional balance. She also speaks on the topics of self-esteem and disordered eating – something she is very familiar with. She is well known for her interactive presentation style and ability to make complex information practical and easy to understand, because she is knowledgeable, approachable, and has a unique ability in making the learning process stimulating and enjoyable.

Jawno provides individualized wellness coaching which includes nutrition and personal training, both privately and through several leading sports, lifestyle and medical groups.  She is an associate nutritionist and personal trainer at the Sports Performance Centres.  Lauren has also joined the medical team of the new state-of-the-art Tailor Medical Centre in downtown Toronto as a Lifestyle Medicine Consultant and Nutritionist. She also teaches Wellness Concepts, Nutrition and Professional Skills in the post-graduate Workplace Wellness & Health Promotion Program at Centennial College and is developing new curriculum for the Fitness and Health Promotion program which will start in 2012.

Over the past 5 years, Jawno has led over 1200 speaking events across Canada and has appeared on TV numerous times. Her many programs and talks include education and strategies for healthy nutrition, exercise, life balance and emotional wellness of individuals, whole families, and corporations. She was featured in Get Real, a book profiling a select group of successful Canadian women, and she was the Life Coach for More Magazine's special Neutrogena and Oil of Olay's makeover sections, and has also contributed to Zoomer Magazine and Wedding Bells. She is also a regular contributor to iRun Magazine providing nutritional advice to runners of all levels.

She combines solid academic background and training with real-life experiences seamlessly for the benefit of all who she comes in contact with. This together with her genuine passion, positive attitude and approachable manner ensures participants leave her seminars and programs informed, inspired and empowered to create change in their life.

Jawno also owns a thriving company that provides "whole life" wellness programs which ensure real-world results and are based on relevant, cutting edge information. Jawno is currently in the process of publishing her new book Change4Good: The 10 Essentials for Food, Fitness and the Good Life.  This book not only provides a proven program that will ensure long term weight management and lifestyle change, but also tells her personal story and struggle with weight.

Her extensive and up-to-date knowledge, professional practice and results oriented programs enable clients to achieve optimal health. Lauren specializes in Fitness Conditioning, Sports Nutrition, Weight and Lifestyle Management and Childhood/Family Nutrition.
