On Wednesday, May 28, 2008, Lauren Jawno will present a Sports Nutrition Workshop specially designed for long distance runners and triathletes.
The workshop will include special focus on how to fuel the body of a high performance athlete to ensure peak performance and a healthy weight. Delivered by dynamic and personable speaker, Lauren Jawno, a certified personal trainer, nutritionist and life coach, the three hour session will deliver sound qualified advice on key areas.
The body's energy systems
The role of carbohydrates, proteins, fats and water play
When and how much to eat for optimal performance and recover
Nutritional periodization a commonly overlooked aspect of sports nutrition
The role of supplements
Cost is $125 + GST for the three hour session and there are gift bags valued at $50 for the first ten registrants.
Lauren's first hand experience in training high performance athletes will ensure athlete participants leave with specialized nutrition knowledge to assist in their development.
With certifications in nutrition, fitness, life coaching from a list of institutions that include the Institute of Holistic Nutrition, American Council on Exercise, Reebok University, Ontario Fitness Council, the Gestalt Institute of Toronto, to name a few, and with a Bachelor of Education, University of Cape Town, South Africa, Lauren Jawno is well equipped to effectively challenge people’s existing habits and lifestyles.
